We have only 2, two bedroom units on the island - maximum of 20 overnight guests - reserving both the upper and lower unit for your group will ensure that it'll be your group only (along with the caretaker's quarters). Black Creek, St. Martin's River, Salt Creek, Crystal River & Homosassa Rivers + more with literally hundreds of islands to explore using one of our many kayaks here at Paradise - free for the use of our guests at the island. Back to Top How far is it to a grocery store or restaurants ? Island Outpost is a small family owned convenience store that carry staples, makes great sandwiches and is located less than a mile from the island. There are 3 waterfront restaurants within 3 miles of the island or if you wish to venture out, we are between Crystal River & Homosassa Springs, each being about 10 miles from the island. Back to Top What kind of wildlife might I see ? Awesome wildlife can be viewed from every facet of the island where blue heron's nest, mullet (can be seen jumping in the water). as well as dolphin, just to name a few. There are 5 sets of nesting eagles, red-tailed hawks, osprey and so much more. Come see the real Florida! Back to Top What linens are furnished ? All bed linens as well as bath, beach and kitchen towels are furnished. . Coin-op washer and dryer are on the premises, for your convenience. We start you off with paper goods. Only septic safe Tp allowed! If you have special needs, for example, allergies to fabric softener, please let us know at the time reservations are made so we may accommodate you. Back to Top How likely am I to get eaten by an alligator ? You have a better chance at getting killed by a pig - truly! - than you are to get bit by a gator. We're not on their diet and the island is alligator incident free! Also the island is salt water with 2 tides most days and gators require fresh water to live. Back to Top What's fishing like there ? Bring your fishin' rods and choose between fishing off the island, from the dock, or make arrangements with one of the local fishing guides that come highly recommended for an exciting afternoon. This is of one our favorite past times. Trout, flounder, stingray, black and red drum and more have been caught from the point of the island with bait from the shop about a mile from the island. Record tarpon and reds have been reeled in close by. Back to Top Does the kitchen have a blender ? Yep, and that's not all - both upper and lower units are each equipped with a coffee maker, toaster, and more. Back to Top Are pets welcome at Paradise Found Island ? Yes, pets are welcome at a modest fee. Wide varieties of wildlife can be found on the island ... beautiful birds, squirrels, and lizards live on the island. Cranes, herons, seagulls and others visit the island and for the safety and well being of all (your pets, our pets and wildlife) we ask that your pet be contained or on a leash when outdoors. Back to Top What time is check-in/check-out? Unless prior arrangements are made, check-in is between 4 - 6 pm and check-out is at 10 am. Advance notice and a nominal fee will be charged for late stays or early arrivals. Not a option on 2 days night rentals Do you have washer Dryer on site?
